Emergency Services

We understand that emergency situations with your equine companion are stressful and we want you to be able to reach the veterinarian as quickly as possible! In order to provide the best service to our clients and patients please review the policies below:

Emergency services are provided 24/7/365 for active clients/patients.

To be considered an active patient the horse in question will have been seen by Commonwealth Equine for routine care (vaccines) within the past 14 months and account will be in good standing. Emergency services for non-clients will be determined on a case by case basis. 

We kindly ask that payment is available at time of service.  Cash, check, and credit card are accepted.

For the quickest response time please text your name, location, and nature of your emergency to the above number. Otherwise, leave a voicemail and your call will be returned ASAP. If you do not receive a call or text within 20 min please contact us again.

 

 


        Emergency Situations

  • Colic

  • Laceration

  • Non-weightbearing lameness

  • Nail in foot - DO NOT remove object if at all possible before calling!

  • Swollen eye

  • Choke

  • Fever (>101.5 F)
